The Pulse – Middle Eastern & Turkish Rhythms
Pulse is a world percussion workshop that welcomes all percussion instruments from any part of the world. What we are aiming for is having a solid rhythmical foundation and sharing different beats, grooves and rhythms from different parts of the world including the Middle East, India, Africa, Balkan and Latin. It is an invitation for those who have an inner calling for drumming and learn from an established musician while connecting to like-minded people.
In this workshop, we are going to revisit the common and popular Middle Eastern Turkish Rhythms. We will learn how to play them within an ensemble by focusing on dynamics. Atman is going to share also how to play solo on top of these rhythms. For those who never visited the Pulse Project before, we recommend you that you have some experience with drumming or at least familiar to Middle Eastern & Turkish music.
We Don’t Supply Any Drums. You Can Bring Either Yours Or Hire One From Us.
